Dibutyl Adipate Synthesis Essay

CATALYTIC SYNTHESIS OF DIBUTYL ADIPATE WITH FERRIC CHLORIDE

Yu Shanxin, Xu Dongfang and Li Shudong (Department of Chemistry, Hunan Normal University, Changsha)  

This paper reported that dinbutyl adipate was synthesis by 0.05 mol adipic acid with 0.20 mol nbutyl alcohol refluxing and water segragating for 2.0 h,by using 1.0 g FeCl 3·6H 2O as catalyst,the rate of esterification can reach 86.9%.
